nine years later, she moved east - to salt lake city. although east according to the compass, this was west according to culture.
this is her chronicle of psychogeographic explorations, urban (and suburban) discoveries, losses, and gains.

Karrie Higgins is a writer, editor, and college composition teacher that recently moved from Portland, Oregon, to Salt Lake City, Utah. Her writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Review, Quarter After Eight, the Los Angeles Times, and Emusic.com. She was the founding editor of Invisible Insurrection: The Magazine of Speculative Nonfiction, which is sadly no longer publishing. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University and a BA in English & Art History from the University of Iowa.
I am nursing a wrist injury, and typing is painful at the moment. Since I have so much typing to do as a teacher - grading, responding to emails, sending off paperwork, etc. - I may not post here for a couple of days. I need to give my wrist all the breaks (very bad pun) that I can. Hopefully, the pain and swelling will subside soon so I can resume regular postings.
